Ickleton Lion9 Abbey Street
A tastefully renovated 300 year old village pub with a substantial enclosed beer garden. It has a centrally located single bar with seating areas around it and a central fireplace between the bar and dining areas. There is also a small family area with it's own very large fireplace. Since new licensees took over in January 2017 food is available at all sessions (pizzas only Sunday and Monday evenings), even serving breakfast (10-11:30) on Saturdays and Sundays. The menu ranges from light snacks to substantial meals in the restaurant including a 3 course Sunday lunch. Four changing ales from the Greene King list. The pub is home to 2 football teams as well as to the Ickleton Cricket Club. Under previous tenants the pub's 2015 cycle trip via Portsmouth to Paris raised £10k for charity.
