A tastefully renovated 300 year old village pub with a substantial beer garden. It has a centrally located single bar with seating areas around it and a central fireplace between the bar and dining areas. There is also a small family area with it's own very large fireplace. The menu ranges from light snacks to substantial meals in the restaurant including a 3 course Sunday lunch. The pub is home to 2 football teams as well as to the Ickleton Cricket Club. The pub closed in July 2023. In summer 2024 Ickleton Community Pub Ltd raised over £240,000 in funding. Their bid for the pub was accepted by Greene King in the autumn and the sale is now complete. Refurbishment is required before it can reopen as a community owned pub. The pub partially reopened on 20 June 2025 with full reopening on 2 July. Card payments only.
