See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Primarily food oriented, with the emphasis on steak in the evening menu. The front and right of the pub form the dining area, while to the left, beyond the wood-burning stove, there is a back room with red leather sofas, and outside a sort of courtyard formed by the covered areas. Innumerable examples of the taxidermist's art decorate the pub, the largest of which is a Chinese water deer. The landlord is a former gamekeeper, so country sports are a theme, along with local history and some sport and film memorabilia in the back room. A display of saucy seaside postcards adorns the walls of the gents. They can organise a clay shoot combined with breakfast and evening meal at the pub. Finding the Green Man open was often hit or miss. It now seems to be solely trading as a B&B and base for the Six Mile Bottom Shoot.
