A large pub situated on a main road into Cambridge. It underwent a significant refurbishment in autumn 2015 reopening as Hudson's Ale House in late October and has proved popular for drinking and dining since. Inside it has been opened out into a J shape with the bar at the centre. The old wood panelling has been painted in blues and greys giving the place a more contemporary feel. There are tables out front but to the rear, the decked garden is a much more attractive area to relax in. As one of Greene King's Local Hero pubs it now offers locally brewed ales as well as those from Greene King and its guest list. Up to 8 ales are available. The food menu has a range of dishes, some using locally sourced ingredients. Breakfast available 9-12.
