Large, thatched, grade II listed building dating back to the 17th century with original wood beams. A central island bar has seating areas around it and there is a dining area to one side. There is further seating in an additional room and a separate restaurant has been developed in a restored and renovated barn. The AA 4-star accommodation consists of five rooms in a newly built detached block. Adnams Ghost Ship and Woodforde's Wherry are regular beers. The guest ale is generally East Anglian. As well as lunchtime and evening food, breakfasts (pre-booking required for non-residents) are also served everyday. Its food ranges from sandwiches (lunchtimes only) to a la carte fine dining. The pub and its food have received awards from other organisations.
