The pub occupies a timber framed building which dates from the late 16th or early 17th century and is grade II listed. Inside it has been much opened out but retains more than a modicum of character and is comfortable and welcoming. A separate dining room is available for small functions or family events. Food is served Sunday lunchtimes, and possibly evenings but by arrangement only. Bingo Wednesdays, autumn to spring. New licensees took over in November 2024.
