A small bar/dining area leads to a conservatory set out with restaurant tables and then on to a large garden with children's play area and marquee. An area beyond the fireplace can be used as a function room. A separate public bar has pool and darts and a small TV. There is a large car park to the rear of the pub which offers good disabled parking, with access to the pub through the dining area. Six hand pumps offer three regulars of national renown plus three changing guests ales.Hearty food menu mainly prepared on the premises using local suppliers. Breakfast available Monday to Saturday 10:30 until midday. Long term licensees Allan & Ava Hewitt left in March 2025. The pub is now being run by the couple who also run the nearby Waggon & Horses.
