Green Dragon5 Water Street
A local village riverside pub and one of the oldest in Cambridge. The skeletally exposed beams reveal where some of its interior walls used to be. Recently refurbished, with some modern furniture, but on the whole retaining its character. A large central brick chimney breast divides the bar into two distinct areas. Guest beers are often non Greene King, typically from East Anglian breweries. There is a beer garden by the river on the opposite side of the road, and also a walled rear garden, which is non-smoking, (though there is a well-furnished smoking area in the gazebo attached to the rear of the building). Food is largely to the Greene King 'Flame Grill' formula. Quiz night each Wednesday.
