Large managed house whose U-shaped interior bears all the hallmarks of attentions from a corporate design team. At the far end is a raised area devoted to dining, with the remainder dominated by the large bar counter which squeezes the central portion somewhat. Outside there is a covered smoking shelter and beyond the car park there is a fenced garden with children's play equipment. Now part of the Greene King Local Pub brand, with the standard menu for that chain. Breakfast available Friday & Saturday, 10-11:30. A popular-culture based quiz night is held on the second Thursday, Bingo night first Wednesday and Open Mic Night last Wednesday. Veterans' Breakfast first Sunday. Dog Cafe every Tuesday morning. Two darts teams and a petanque team are based here, playing on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, respectively, in season. Two Greene King beers (usually IPA and Abbot, but varies) and one or two from the GK guest list.
