See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Village local with two bars. The small front bar is intimate with a real fire. The larger rear bar has been extended and has an island fireplace above which is a collection of brasses and china boots as well as one of its old pub signs. There is also a dining room which doubles as a meeting place for various local groups and a venue for music sessions. At the rear is a covered patio and large garden where you'll find the Histon Stone brought there by the Histon Giant, Moses Carter. This former Punch Taverns underwent a refurbishment and extension and reopened in February 2018 as part of Raymond Blanc's White Brasserie Company. By 2024 is was part of sister company Heartwood Inns. It retains a sizeable pub area. The three regular ales are well known nationally but the guest ale is regional.
