Popular, friendly village pub. The simply appointed bar is separated by a low wall from the restaurant area. A rear pool and TV room has its own bar. Rear decked area with car park beyond and beer garden beside it. Cask ale accounts for much of the beer sold with three handpumps in use. Previously known for Thai food, catering is now done in-house with good-value home-made pub food (including hand-cut chips and an enormous mixed grill) being served 6 days a week. Opens as a cafe in the mornings. An annual beer festival is held in June.
