The Black Horse is a two bar village pub purchased several years ago by a Rampton resident from Greene King. It has since earned a reputation for its beers, locally produced cider and fine wines. Food currently consists of bar snacks, including vegan, home-made cakes and other baked items and artisan ice cream. Dog friendly throughout. Step-free access although the toilets are not wheelchair accessible. Outside there is parking on both sides of the pub and a large beer garden to the rear with a pétanque pitch. Informal pétanque evenings alternate Wednesdays during the summer. Up to three changing beers from regional and local small breweries. Its keg lines include a rotation of independent breweries and Cranes cider.
