See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Originally a row of cottages dating from the 1760s now Grade II listed. What must once have been a warren of small rooms has been merged though it retains three distinct drinking areas and a dining area at the far end. The decor gives it a modern rustic feel. The attractive rear garden backs onto meadow and woodland. After being closed for over 18 months the Black Horse reopened in May 2018. Its range of ales includes those brewed in the village by the Lord Conrad Brewery. One of its other beers is often from Adnams. A selection of home baked cakes (including one gluten-free) & coffee at all times, light lunches and all day Saturday bunches. Traditional pub food is available in the evenings. Buffets packages available for gatherings. Cambridge Crematorium is a mile away. The Black Horse closes in January, except for private events, and has shorter hours in winter than in summer months.
