Gloriously traditional thatched village pub, previously a coaching inn. Beyond the rear car park is one of the largest beer gardens in the area. The main bar has low ceilings, a real fire and many cosy corners. There is also a second, smaller bar. Regular ales and guests are from the Punch range. Weston's Old Rosie cider is also available. Food may be eaten in the bar or the separate newly refurbished dining room. The smart and spacious function room hosts a trad jazz club on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Always offering a cheerful, and often cheeky, reception, this is a pub for the people who understand. New licensees took over early August 2020.
