Six Bells9 High Street
Gloriously traditional thatched village pub, previously a coaching inn. Beyond the rear car park is one of the largest beer gardens in the area. The main bar has low ceilings, a real fire and many cosy corners. There is also a second, smaller bar. Regular ales are mostly from regional brewers, guest ales from across the country. The food is locally sourced and home cooked and may be eaten in the bar or the separate dining room (no food Sunday or Monday evenings). The function room hosts a trad jazz club on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Always offering a cheerful, and often cheeky, reception, this is a pub for the people who understand.
