The two bars of this free house are adorned with a wonderful collection of bottles, breweriana and historical photos. The left-hand bar has recently been extended and features the TV. The nine hand-pumps are in the right-hand bar which is quieter and child-free. Its ceiling is hung with pump-clips, jugs and hops. The guest beers often includes a mild. Belgian and German beers are on draught and there is a range of continental bottled beers. A regular cider and a perry plus a guest cider are also available. Large beer garden with accommodation block at the rear of the premises. Outside pizza shed. There are two beer festivals each year, an Easter aperitif then the main event in September, which raise money for local charitable causes.
