See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Victorian pub in the village centre which was well refurbished by Charles Wells a few years back. Drinking areas form an 'L' around the wood paneled bar. The room to the left is up steps. A larger area to the right leads to the rear patio and beer garden. The good value food is freshly produced, locally sourced where possible, with a daily specials board and a Sunday roast. Pizzas only Saturday evening. Adnams Ghost Ship and two seasonal beers from Charles Wells' Brewpoint brewery are regulars. They also offer two guest ales. All can be bought as a flight of thirds. A meat raffle is held every Friday. Quiz night last Thursday of the month. The pub was bought, free of tie, in January 2024 and following renovation, reopened as the Admiral on 24 July 2024.
