Former Greene King pub purchased in Spring 2018 by a local resident. New licensees took over in August 2019. Popular community two bar pub. Its public bar has a jukebox, pub games and TV. The wood panelled lounge bar has tables suitable for diners or drinkers. The food is tasty, homemade pub food at an affordable price. Sunday roasts. Food vans on Mondays. Lunch club last Wednesday of the month.The changing ales always include a mild or other dark beer. The selection of ciders often includes a locally produced one. Quiz night every last Tuesday of the month. The large rear beer garden contains an array of cosy sheds to house customers in less clement weather. Licensees of six years left in July 2025. The pub reopened with new licensees on 2nd September.
