Former Tolly Cobbold pub built in the late 1950s (opened by Lord Tollemache in November 1959) when it was known as the Weathervane. Subsequently renamed the Master Mariner before becoming the Med "Mediterranean Bar & Grill" in 2010. The large main bar sports a salmon pink and pale grey colour scheme with lots of framed old photos on the walls. Behind is a huge function room/restaurant. Food is "traditional Mediterranean cuisine" with pizzas a speciality. Tapas available in the bar. Former home of Turpins microbrewery, which has since moved to larger premises, but Turpin's beers are still sold. The Med is currently undergoing renovations. It is due to reopen in late July as a pub and Dumpling Tree Chinese restaurant.
