A discreet corner local, just off Mill Road, with roadside cycle parking. It consists of a single bar with a small snug to the rear. Furnished with simple tables and chairs plus a few barstools at one end of the wooden bar. Wood burner in the fireplace. Wood panelling and breweriana add to a yesteryear atmosphere. It is a pub for contemplation, conversation and beer and cider consumption. Oakham Citra is its regular beer. A second Oakham (frequently Green Devil) and Nethergate Umbel Ale often also feature on their 6 handpumps and there's always a dark beer. Its 10 taps feature interesting ones as well some more well known ones. Its six still ciders include some real ciders. The Live reopened, under new management, on 1 March 2022 with the aim of retaining many of the pub's key features.
