See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
A classic, cosy, side street pub, just off Mill Road. Windows and mirrors keep the interior light and welcoming. Simple tables and chairs cater for groups of many sizes while bar stools suit those who prefer to perch. Real fires in cold weather. The walled garden behind has canopies and heaters and is popular all year round. There are roadside cycle-racks in front. The Kingston Arms reopened in March 2023 under new licensees as a wet led pub following an ill-fated spell as a Mediterranean restaurant. Up to eight cask ales including at least one dark ale. Four still ciders including real ciders. Cribbage and skittles on Tuesday. Pub quiz on the last Monday of the month. The pub runs bi-monthly minibus pub tours. Pork pies and snacks. Plates and cutlery available for drinkers who order in pizzas or other food from local restaurants. Alternate Wednesdays they have pop-up kitchen takeover.
