See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Small pub at the north end of the village with a single J-shaped room. Recently redecorated and furnished to give a comfortable seating area to the left of the rough wood fronted bar. The very long garden contains swings and slide, an ancient mulberry tree and, now off limits beyond a solid fence, a huge pond. The former hens have been replaced by a giant tortoise albeit still a baby. The food is now good value pub grub. The pub changed hands in September 2017. Things again went awry in spring 2018 and it closed in mid-June. It is now on the market free of tie. After a few attempts, planning permission (23/02061/FUL) for a change to residential use was granted in August 2023.
